رَبَّنَا ظَلَمْنَآ أَنفُسَنَا وَإِن لَّمْ تَغْفِرْ لَنَا وَتَرْحَمْنَا لَنَكُونَنَّ مِنَ ٱلْخَٰسِرِينَ
Our Rabb! We have wronged our own souls; if You don’t forgive us and not bestow Your mercy upon us, we shall certainly be lost.
This is the attitude of true believers. When they commit a mistake, they accept it and seek forgiveness from their Rabb. On the other hand, the approach of Satan is to stay firm on the mistake and become arrogant. “All sons of Adam [A.S.] sin. But the best of sinners are those who repent”.
