Shield to protect Hell Fire
Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ) said, Fasting is a shield (or a screen or a shelter) (which a servant protects himself from the Fire).
Eat forgetfully while fasting
Abu Huraira reported: The Messenger of Allah(ﷺ), peace and blessings be upon him, said: Whoever eats or drinks forgetfully while he is fasting, let him complete his fast for Allah has fed him and given him drink.
I am fasting
The Prophet(ﷺ) said: When one of you wakes up in the morning for fasting, then he should not use obscene language or behave foolishly. If anyone abuses him or fights with him, he should say twice: Indeed, I am fasting.
Evil deeds while fasting
Whoever does not leave evil words and deeds while fasting, Allah does not need him to leave food and drink.
hasten to break fast
The Messenger of Allah(ﷺ) said: People will continue in goodness as long as they hasten to break their fast.
𝐏𝐫𝐞-𝐟𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐦𝐞𝐚𝐥
The Messenger of Allah(ﷺ)said: Take the pre-fasting meal (suhur). Verily, there is blessing in the pre-fasting meal.
𝐑𝐚𝐦𝐚𝐝𝐚𝐧 𝐅𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠
Abu Huraira reported: The Messenger of Allah(ﷺ) said: Whoever fasts the month of Ramadan due to faith and seeking reward, his previous sins will be forgiven.
𝐅𝐚𝐬𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐑𝐚𝐦𝐚𝐝𝐚𝐧
Islam is built upon five: 1. to worship Allah and to disbelieve in what is worshiped besides him
2. to establish prayer,
3. to give charity,
4. to perform Hajj pilgrimage to the house,
5. and to fast the month of Ramadan.
Revise the Quran
The Messenger of Allah(ﷺ) said: Gabriel would come to me to revise the Quran once every year. This year he revised with me twice. I do not think it means anything but that my term will come to an end.
Beginning of Ramadan
Abu Huraira reported: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: When the month of Ramadan begins, the gates of heaven are opened, the gates of Hellfire are closed, and the devils are chained.
